Investing in people.

Pathways is RLC and RLCBH's framework — and growing toolkit — for supporting clinicians on their path, from their first day as an intern, through licensure, and beyond. We believe the strength of a community's mental health depends on people like you, so we're investing here, in your pathway.

Our Vision

Every clinician we train, every supervisor we develop, and every administrative role we strengthen is an investment in our community — and in building a place that meets people where they are.

Pathways isn't a slogan. It's a working commitment — supported by real tools, real structure, and real people — to build the kind of agency we'd want our own families served by. The pages and resources here will keep growing as we do.

Where pathways lead — and who they serve

Strong clinical care doesn't happen by accident. It's the result of layered investment in three distinct groups of people, each with their own pathway forward.

From intern to confident, competent, independent, licensed clinician

Graduate students arrive eager and uncertain. We meet them with structured supervision, real client work, and a clear roadmap from practicum through associate licensure to full licensure — without the hidden gaps and surprises that derail too many careers.

  • Weekly individual + group supervision
  • Real client caseload under licensed oversight
  • Documentation, billing, and compliance training
  • Transparent timeline to associate & full licensure
  • Genuine pathway to long-term employment

From competent clinician to supported, supportive supervisor

Great supervisors aren't born — they're developed. As clinicians reach licensure and gain experience, we invest in their growth as mentors, teachers, and clinical leaders. Supervision is treated as a craft worth learning, not a credential to collect.

  • Pathway from licensure to Approved Supervisor status
  • Ongoing peer consultation among supervisors
  • Frameworks for giving feedback and growing clinicians
  • Tools and time to do supervision well
  • A culture where supervisors are also supported

An amazing administrative team that makes it all possible

Clinicians can only do their best work when the path is supported, maintained, and improved. We invest in the administrative team — billing, scheduling, credentialing, intake, operations — because they are the quiet engine of community care, and the quality of their work shapes the quality of every clinical hour.

  • Continued investment in admin training and tools
  • Cross-functional collaboration with clinical teams
  • Process improvements that protect clinical time
  • Career growth within administrative roles
  • Recognition that admin work is mission work

A growing library of practical resources

This page is the hub. As we build out new tools — for interns, supervisors, admin staff, and the public — they'll show up here. Some are live now, some are in progress, and we'll keep adding.

Better-trained clinicians mean a better-served community

Most behavioral health agencies in our region face the same hard math: rising demand for services, a shrinking pipeline of trained clinicians, and supervisors stretched thin. Pathways is our answer.

By investing seriously in interns, in the supervisors who develop them, and in the administrative team that supports the whole operation, we widen the pipeline of competent, confident clinicians — and Clark County, plus all of Washington State via telehealth, gets the benefit.
